The Port of Portland Building is an existing medium rise (17 floor) multi-tenant building with a constant volume dual duct system. In 1992 Hartman designed a Terminal Regulated Air Volume (TRAV) retrofit with occupancy based zone and lighting control. The retrofit resulted in improved comfort from improved zone control and the 24 hour HVAC operation, and a documented 30 percent energy reduction.
