Hartman Terminal Regulated Air Volume (TRAV) is an innovative network-based, VAV control technology that coordinates the control of the central fan airflow and supply air temperature in accordance with actual zone requirements. The Hartman TRAV technology also includes some important features such as self-diagnostics and self-balancing that provide significant reductions in O&M costs. TRAV is an important new network based control technology that leads to dramatic reductions in energy use and equally dramatic improvements in building comfort.

TRAV employs the controls network to operate the supply air system in accordance with actual terminal conditions instead of employing fixed supply air temperature and duct static pressure setpoints as is common in conventional designs.
