The 100 Market Building is an owner occupied low rise (7 floor) building constructed originally with a constant volume dual duct HVAC system for comfort conditioning. The building is occupied around the clock. In 1993 Hartman designed a dual duct Terminal Regulated Air Volume (TRAV) retrofit that employs occupancy based zone HVAC and lighting control along with networked daylight dimming for perimeter areas and self-diagnostics of zone equipment. This retrofit resulted in a 60 percent energy reduction and significant comfort improvements.
